Buat sahabat-sahabatku
yang sedang menjalani perjuangannya melawan sakit ..]

Boleh saja ia menghantam tubuhmu
Sehingga kau yang harusnya tegak berdiri
Bahkan maju berlari
Terpaksa membaringkan tubuhmu di atas dipan

Boleh saja ia menyerang pikiranmu
Dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan membingungkan
'Apakah ini kehendak Tuhan ?'
'Mengapa jalan ini, Tuhan ?'

Tapi jangan biarkan ia memadamkan semangatmu
Jangan biarkan ia mengambil damai dan sukacitamu
Jangan biarkan ia menguasai hatimu
Jangan biarkan ia mengalahkanmu !!

Karena seorang pemenang
Bukan dilihat saat perlombaan dimulai
Melainkan saat perlombaan diakhiri
